"We chose this hotel as we wanted a quiet night away not too far from home and away from the busy tourist areas and it didn’t disappoint. "Absoloutely lovely central location. The staff on the bar were fab blokes (a young lad who’s name I didn’t catch and a chap I believe was called Richard). We had the chicken parmo share board and I could eat it again and again. Room was budget and basic but comfortable for a one night stay. Only issue was a leaky shower but again for one night not a problem and I have emailed the hotel directly so they can get it fixed. "Friendly hotel with good location to explore Ambleside. Dog friendly and even though dogs are not allowed in the restaurant they set up a table in the lounge for you so your dog can accompany you and provide table service. Catered to my needs being gluten free and requiring soya milk and even made my decaffeinated coffee just how I liked it. Will definitely stay again 😄 xx"
