"The staff were all excellent and attractive. The room was comfortable. The spa-bath in our en-suit was a lithe noisy but fun. We enjoyed a swim in the pool, not huge, but not busy. The only negative was breakfast was not very hot but otherwise the restaurant dinner was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Great location for exploring the south lakes and Furness peninsula. "

"Not staffed, you receive a code for entry on day of arrival, all worked great. The room was clean, decorated nicely, had a huge bathroom with large shower and free toiletries. Internet was fast and reliable. It was very quiet. The heart chocolates on the pillows (it was Valentines the day after our stay) were a cute touch."

"Room was quite cold on arrival, however was soon rectified. No frills attached yet all you needed for a one night stay. Breakfast was excellent."

"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. Great food in the pub downstairs from a varied menu. "
