"Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

We had a couple of power cuts due to the bad weather but the host was in contact with us straight away to give us updates and the issue was fixed really quickly. "The property was excellent, everything you need for a comfortable stay, the double bed was very comfortable and warm. The only thing we found it was a bit far away to walk to the bar/restaurant, for our age group we are late 70 and early 80s."

"We had a great stay using this as our base to explore part of the Lake District, easy access to lakes and many fells in one direction and to vast beaches a short drive away in the other direction. Loved the jacuzzi bath to relax in after a long day walking. We found the stairs to be steeper than we are acustomed to and also smaller treads, but a good hand rail for support when going to bed with tired legs. Wifi struggled a bit on occasions with demand when trying to stream something on TV and...

"Enjoyed our stay, few issues. Advised off street parking but drive to short for average car and garage locked and filled with furniture. Water pressure very poor could not fill the bath at all as plug not sealing. Under Microwave very dirty and greecy. Cushions outside sodden wet,we dried and left inconsevatory. No control allowed on central heating."

"The accommodation was just as described and comfortably big enough for the 4 of us. Was great to be able to walk from the house onto the fells, to the lake and to the town. Lovely views as well. "

"Large property that has stunning views. The rooms were big enough for 8 of us. The house was warm during the cold new year. We foubd the private lane so inly a short walk to windermere and its in a lovely area. Check in was easy, the kids liked the various gardens and we had a big new yrs eve meal atouvd tge large table. The multiple baghrooms were handy. "
