"You have to travel by boat to the lodge which is fun itself. The bungalow was exceptionally clean and the whole lodge area well kept. They are offering several activities in the lodge. We did really liked the lake tour which felt like going back to the Tertiary. The staff in hotel is very helpful with everything. Just be prepared for lots of mosquitoes in the whole porto Maldonado… I have came with my mosquito repellent but I have seen such things are available to buy in the lodge in case"

"The boat journey is exciting and comfortable despite being 8 hrs up river and 5 back. If lucky u meet the researchers and hear about their ingenious projects focused on the flora and fauna and the staff are attentive and wonderful as is the food. We were up at 4.30 most mornings which is no sweat as u go to bed about 9 pm. The clay licks are disappointing this time of year as the Macaws come rarely and the smaller birds fear the hawks without the macaws on the lick...but the birds accumulate...

"The immersion experience was great. Be prepared though to feel hot and full of bug spray much of the time. Wear hiking pants. Not Lulu leggings (too hot). The guides are great and you can do as much or as little as you want. We saw a lot of animals. "

Also, it seemed the room was recently u der constructions and there were some things out of place. Tv was not working at first and it was replaced."
