"Ok for one night."

"Lovely views and gardens fabulously building inside and out. Sorry to say the breakfast was lawful l was not late for breakfast but no hot food everything was empty except cold Tomatoes half cook cold scrambled egg l though they would put more food out but no. No cups No cutlery tryed to make tea no milk. When my family came down they had the same exact the same experience. I don't feel it was the staff's fault as they seam to be under staffed. This is my second visit we loved everything else...

"Lovely hotel. Right by the seafront. Close to everything. Went on the steam train to Dartmouth. Also went to Kents Cavern..via a voucher from the hotel. Both excellent. "

"There was a warm and friendly welcome. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. It is a budget hotel, obviously rather old with idiosyncratic shaped rooms and corridors. No lift so if you are on the upper floors and struggle with mobility not for you. The hotel has limited parking at £6.00 per day. Hotel is right on the seafront and only minutes from the town centre and shops. Lounges rather basic and sparse."

"Excellent location both for the many transport links and the stroll into town. The room was on the second floor so not convenient if mobility issues. .It was compact with low ceilings but comfortable, especially the bed. Poor plumbing. Unusual housekeeping for me as the bed was never made up nor the bath cleaned during my stay. Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing. Chicken supreme dish, the potatoes were nice, the meat was well cooked unfortunately the roasted carrots tasted rancid so...

"Very comfortable and quiet stay. Good breakfast options including gluten and dairy free. Decor a bit tired especially bathroom with some mould. "

"Lovely stay..grounds are amazing and really liked the pub. The menu was a bit limited but it was tasty and had Devon Red on draft. We had a separate bathroom which was small but fine for the one night"

"The biggest plus about this property is the staff: they were wonderful, both at check-in and at check-out. The lobby area is large and inviting, and well-lit. Rather than having on-site parking, the property chose to turn the hotel forecourt into outdoor seating with picnic tables. While sitting outside might be nice in the wamer summer months, not having on-site parking is a negative: the hotel sits on a residential street, so street parking nearby is at a premium.
