"My colleagues who stayed there were appalled at the state of this place . The room was filthy and look at the state of the shower screen - covered in Algae . The pictures on Hotels.com look good but probably taken about 10 years ago when the place was last cleaned . The boys were given another room but it was just as bad so they checked out without staying there at all. "

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "The hotel is in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Centre of Oulton Broad where there is a lovely park, in interesting museum (with free entry) and a few pubs and restaurants. You can also take a boat trip from here. We highly recommend the food at the hotel, our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful."

"It was lovely. we stayed in the Braid Lodge. It was clean, well decorated and warm. The only criticism would be the state of the TV remote control which was filthy."
