"Really was a lovely place to stay. Staff always helpful and chatty. Room was immaculate and so was the hotel. I really cannot fault. The food was excellent with lots of choice and fresh. Xalet Montana is lovely; newly/nicely renovated, very clean, well-maintained, centrally located, free parking across the street, friendly/polite staff, nice mountain views, good/fresh breakfast (perfect coffee), free ski lockers at the main Soldeu gondola (gondola is a 5-minute walk & takes you up Grandvalira). It's adult-only, so no loud children running around... just loud-drunk adults! Main cons: The spa was clean and relaxing, but the jacuzzi was cool/tepid, not hot....
