"We had a great stay at Hotel Herculaneum overall! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. It even had a lovely balcony overlooking the street! It was tidied up daily and washcloths and bathmats were replaced daily (there is no Do Not Disturb sign - which we didn’t mind). There was a slight drainage issue in our shower on our first night (which caused a little flooding) but the issue seemed to have been fixed by the time we returned the following evening. The front desk staff were amazing; they were friendly, helpful, and happily answered our questions. The surrounding area was safe, considering that the hotel is steps away from Herculaneum (safe for tourists). The hotel’s best feature is its location - aside from being right across Herculaneum, it is only a 10 min walk from the train station (Ercolano Scavi) which is where you can take the Circumvesuviana line to go to Pompei, Sorrento (Almafi coast), and Naples; therefore, it is central to all of these places!
