"The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area."

"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. "We loved our stay at Ryokan Sansui. The view of the mountains around the hotel were amazing with tri-colored foliage. The staff were also very lovely and kind. The food was also delicious and more than I had expected. Communication wasn't too easy, but the message would get across. The best part was, of course, the onsen (hot spring) experience. They offer both public (gender-separated) hot springs and baths, as well as 4 private ones that don't need prior booking or extra fees. Getting there...
