"We really enjoyed the location of the property - very easily walkable to Oxford city centre (either on a pavement by the main road or along the river) - around 10-15mins but in a quieter and secluded location. Taxi took 10mins from the train station despite a bit of traffic (£6). Staff were very helpful as attentive, room was spacious with double aspect. "A nice hotel, about 25 min walk (or bus ride) from the city centre. Rooms were comfortable, the double bed was quite small but fine for one person. Breakfast was good value with a range of hot and cold options. Parking was available (for an extra fee) but it was a good base for a weekend away."

"We had a lovely experience at this hard-to-fault country house hotel. Noticeably, nothing looked, worn, old or tired. We slept in Room 10 which overlooks the garden and which, going by the fire safety plan on the back of the door, looks to be the largest room on the 1st floor and yes, it's big! Very comfortable 6-foot bed (proper ‘king size') and nice to have a central ceiling light as well as wall and side-table lamps. The bathroom was not huge but adequate, with a large walk-in shower...

"A great base for a weekend stay in Cirencester. The hotel is in the middle of town so a great location to explore the town & surrounding areas. The hotel is lovely & rooms well equipped & very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, a great selection of options on offer, everything was delicious. Would stay again if visiting this area. "
