"This is my 4th visit to this excellent hotel, always on a one night stay as I am taking the Carlisle to Settle train the next day (must see!). This hotel is a great place to stay, the staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the station, the building is quite old and has a lot of character. "Wonderful stay. We booked it to break up a trip back home from the Highlands in Scotland. We were welcomed on arrival with a quick check in and then we had a lovely walk round the lake.
