"Me and my family stayed at this resort for three days and the overall experiencing was good. Staff is very friendly every-time you ask any questions they are more than happy to answer. If you have kids this resort is for you, they have a children’s pool, children’s club and activities throughout the week. The food in general if your not a picky eater it’s good, they have the main buffet and three other restaurantes you can reserve for lunch/dinner. "

"When we arrive at 2 o'clock in the morning we discovered that we had no room there,even if we had booked in April and we had to go to another Melia resort in the nearby. we were very disappointed also for the standard of the premises that it is not at all a 5-star hotel, as you can see from the picture. We had to argue all the time with the respinsables to have 2 roomkeys (not available we had just one ), to enter the spa and to reserve restaurants. Luckily all the ordinary staff was very kind...

"Fint hotell om man, som vi, inte är så fortjusta i de där stora hotellkomplexen. Hotellet har 37 rum och ligger ungefär 15 min promenad från centrala Santa Maria. Vill man ta taxi kostar det 5 euro. Helt ok frukost och maten i hotellets restaurang var alltid god och vällagad. Ibland fick man vänta ganska länge på sin beställning och det blev vid några tillfällen lite fel och missförtånd. När vi anlände till hotellet fick vi besked om att det var överbokat och rummet vi bokat och betalt för fanns...

"I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment. As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too...

"Great hotel for the price. Marble staircases and landings with good breakfast. Five mins to the beach and the restaurant strip. For good restaurant (shabby outside) out of hotel go right and first left. Then it’s on the left. Lots of other restaurants in area. Never had bad meal. Hotel will collect from airport (20 min ride) for 20 euro. Recommended."

"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean. Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. "Staff is impersonal, particularly at reception where they need to be super helpful. My husband come down with flu and asked at reception if they had any medicine and the answer was “ no “ and end of, not an alternative offered or even indicating the nearest pharmacy. Rooms were okay, clean but worn out and the daily room keeping rushed as I would find dirt on the floor from the day before. Food was well cooked and tasty but not much variety offered as the days went by. "
