"I was so pleasantly surprised by what was offered. I booked an overnight stay on my way to Sapporo. I had no experience with this chain and expected an average service/facility. For one night, I didn't mind. However, the staff were organised and welcoming. Unlike similar hotel chains, they had four lifts to take guests up and down. Everywhere was super clean. More importantly, the room was spacious and very comfortable. All facilities were new, and every item in the room was organised logically...

"Overall, this place was accessible, easy enough to find with a parking garage BEHIND the hotel. Note this if you are driving as otherwise you will need to circle the block to get to parking. The only reason for 1 star off is that we could not get the AC to work in our room despite using translation and thus the room was constantly stuffy. "

"It is a small cozy place for a short stay. Staff are friendly and able to speak english. Check in was very easy. Location is easy to find and great as it is walkable to the train station. I like the breakfast spread. "

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel from the wonderful staff to the spacious apartment hotel room. Check in was not until 3pm so we were able to store our luggage while we roamed around. When we returned to check in, the staff advised us that our luggage was already delivered to our room. This was excellent customer service and we appreciated it. We will definitely stay here again. "We had a wonderful stay at this Ryokan. My husband and son got up early to enjoy the onsen and we loved the traditional Japanese bedding. It is exactly the type of lodging we were looking for in Hakodate. We only wish we had more time to spend there. "

"The staff provided the 'Superb' service. I stayed at the annex building which was a bit dated but totally clean for 4 weeks. I had access to sauna, washing machine, dryer, kitchen sink, microwave, ice machine & Free breakfast. It took me 11 minutes to walk to Goryōkaku where I could enjoy viewing the cherry blossom & I loved it. I highly recommend this hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Hakodate again during cherry blossom season, I will not hesitate to book this hotel again. "

"Few mins walk from JR Hakodate station, and the tram station is directly in front of the hotel which makes traveling a breeze. Breakfast is provided and it was a decent meal. Will come back again! "

"There wasn’t elevator for this property, but staff helped us carry our luggage to our rooms. The rooms are very large for Japanese standards, as at least one wing was repurposed from an old bank branch. "

"The front desk staff were extremely gracious & hospitable throughout our entire stay! They all spoke English very well. Rooms were clean, a/c worked very well, loved the area… felt safe, close to train stations, bus stops, street car stops, shopping mall, convenience stores, restaurants & sightseeing areas were a few minutes away. Will definitely stay here again! "
