The introduction to zazen was great, though Japanese speakers will get most out of this - ditto the lecture before morning service. The meals were excellent, and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. All together, this short stay was a true highlight of my month in Japan. "大浴場の入り口のドアが凄く重かった。泉質は、とても良いです。時間が経っても、ポカポカが続いてました。ゆあみを着用しての露天風呂は、川が近くにあり迫力がありました。子供用のゆあみが無くて一番サイズの小さいのを着せたのですが、ぶかぶかでした。スリッパは履いたまま外に出るようです。朝ごはん、子供にはお子様ランチがおすすめです。好き嫌いが多い我が子は、焼き鮭とご飯と果物しか食べてません(泣)"

"The room was fairly large for Japan, and comfortable, I was on the top floor, non smoking comfort floor. And the breakfast was good. Staff was super. My only complaint is that because some floors were smoking, sometimes the lobby area smelled enough like cigarettes to give me a headache. Location is good for new Shinkansen station. Sidewalks ok."

"2nd floor has a very fish oil smell from the restaurant. Besides that, the modern Japanese rooms are unreal, awesome amenities, great onsen, with a cold pool, no sauna. Staff were excellent, there are places for smoking. A Family Mart just around the corner, and good restaurants around, although is dark to walk around at night. But seems more for groups and families that are staying exclusively in the onsen."
