We visited at the beginning of the season and were greatly impressed with the hotel and surrounds. The breakfasts were excellent and coffee and drinks were available in the bar. "It was great to stay in a historic old home. It was totally comfortable and though I would be considered elderly I don’t come to Italy expecting not to have to climb stairs or do a lot of walking. The breakfast was basic continental style but everything served was above average. I wish there had been some Kleenex as noses of the elderly do weep more than we want them to. "Every person we encountered at this hotel could not have been kinder or more accommodating to me and my family. Everyone goes over and above to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The manager and front desk help, the waitstaff in the dining areas, the housekeepers, all are so wonderful!! If you need a ride anywhere or help getting a dinner reservation they are more than happy to help. This hotel is a hidden gem.
