"Very old and dirty in the unit, lobby was clean. We had to use to fold out and I was afraid of bed bugs, the mattress was so gross! I went with blind faith that the blankets were clean and layered them on top. We asked for another duvet or blankets and was told they don’t have any. "Enjoyed our stay at the Ates Hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Room was also very quiet, with window shutters that blocked all the light, so slept well. Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from. Service upon arrival and during stay was excellent. Hotel parking was ok and parked without issue. Used as a base to visit Strasbourg. "This hotel is right by the island where the Christmas markets are held so it is easy to walk to. It was approximately a 15 min tram ride from the train station and then about 5 mins to the hotel. We were three and ended up with almost a suite - two rooms behind one door and a private bathroom. Cosy but comfortable. Would recommend it."
