"This is a decently appointed albeit on the small side accommodation. We got stuck in Egilstaddir for a few hours with the closure of the Ring Road segment connecting to Akureyri. "We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark.
