"This a perfect stop off point .the only fault is as the rooms have no air con ,they need to a fan in the rooms ,as you can't open the window properly.it was very uncomfortable in the room .in cooler weather not a problem "

"We had a great time in The Old Swan Hotel. Our room was large and comfortable. Not a great view, but wasn’t too worried about that. The shower was simple to use and excellent. There were nice large white bath towels and very good in room tea facilities. The staff were very friendly and ready to help. We had an evening meal there as well as breakfast. The food was good on both occasions. The hotel is steeped in history and of course where they found Agatha Christie in 1926. I loved the decor...

"Brilliant place for a short stay, we stayed 1 night and it was lovely the room was very clean and tidy the bed was comfortable there are no draws for clothes but for a short stay it didnt matter. Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. Fresh juice and tea and coffee only downside you had to pay extra for a latte but not a big deal. Price was perfect as well. The village itself is beautiful so peaceful and quiet. Will be...

"This hotel had great character, the rooms are decorated nicely, very quirky. The hotel has a nice little bar and the food was great. One of the nights had a Live singer and they were awesome. Overall it was a great experience and all the staff were great too."

"Mark is a wonderful host who really cares about your experience. The rooms are comfortable with a fridge and iron just outside if you require them. The breakfast is delicious and dietary requirements are well researched and catered for which is very much appreciated The bed is comfy with nice full pillows and duvet. There is a heater to keep you toasty when it’s cold in June! The location is excellent for Thirsk centre and right next to a big Tesco. The only thing missing was a full length...
