"We had a couples stay at the hotel for Valentines weekend. The hotel location and building were beautiful, as were the lobby, bar and restaurant. Taking into consideration this is a 4* hotel, there is no doubt that the main hotel itself i.e. the bar/lounge area and the restaurant met our expectations. We dined in the hotel restaurant for both evenings, the food and service were excellent, offering good value for money. Sadly our hotel room on the 2nd floor (206) did not in anyway meet out...

"the price was good and close to everything in Harrogate along with helpful and friendly staff. room clean and guess not a premium room but did what we needed. old hotel with history comes with squeaky floorboards etc. worth a visit if its a bed for the night stay your after. will stay again. "

Shame I was put in an accessible room as the washbasin was ridiculously small & in truth would be totally impractical for anyone in a wheelchair as they wouldn't be able to get their knees under the sink & it would be impossible to even brush their teeth !! The T V was in an absurd position high on the wall directly to the left when lying in bed ,so one would have to twists in the most absurd position to watch TV. Im very fortunate not to be disabled so moved the bed so I...
