"The hotel was amazing, I stayed there purely because of the convenience of going to the internation centre for comic con. Its really close to the shops and train station too. The amazing benefit i found was that the bed was extremely comfy."

"Quaint and old hotel showing it’s age. Could do with a revamp. But comfortable giving us a good sleep. Nice bar. Plenty of outdoor space. Friendly staff. Would stay again."

"Lovely hotel and very friendly welcoming staff. We stayed for one night as we went to forest live and would definitely recommend The Barns. We had lunch in the restaurant and excellent selection of choice and food was delicious. We will be coming back "

"Perfectly clean and functional. Sofa bed for my second child wasn't up to scratch and the quality of all the mattresses was pretty poor to be honest. Also the heating was on (in June) and the room was BOILING. Man working at reception couldn't have done enough for us though. Lovely service. "

"1) Traditional pub room for 2 night stay 2) Friendly & helpful staff esp “Liz” 3) Food very good (excellent English bedroom) 4) After midnight you need to ring a mobile for staff to let you in 5) Freeview reception in room #3 was patchy 6) Approx 6 parking spaces from & rear (some street parking also) 7) Free Wifi is one of those “sign-up” marketing ones which I declined good 4G receptions "
