"We loved this Inkaterra property! I debated long and hard between this and Reserva Amazonica, in the end I chose this because it's newer and has wifi. The food here is fabulous, especially considering it's location. All the staff went above and beyond with each interaction. The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There is no pressure for tips from any staff. The only "cons" I noted are: our cocktails weren't great, the margaritas were undrinkable (appeared to be a new person in training)...

"My wife and I had an amazing time. We really loved it! Sandra and her team did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We were fed well and the food was amazing! They really care about the rainforest and work with a local wildlife rescue that rescues animal and rehabilitates them to go back into the wild. When you stay here, you help them with their mission to protect the Amazon rainforest. Alejandro was an amazing guide and has a great eye for spotting wildlife. Definitely...

"10 min taxi to main town for meals. Hotel restaurant vegetarian only and requires booking for dinner. No air conditioner as it is an EcoVillage, be warned, it is hot and sticky in the Amazon. Pool was excellent. Monkeys and sloths in the trees on property. "

"A small seven unit property and we were the only ones there on the first night. I don’t know if it was the end of the season, but we had a limited hours of electricity, Wi-Fi, and schedule of meals. Dinner was at 8 PM and we were pretty hungry by then. It was hot in the late morning, and there was no electricity to turn on the fan. The buildings are outdated, and some need of repairs . The staff was friendly. By B"

"The Chombi House is the perfect place for a family or small group to have a relaxing retreat in the Peruvian jungle. Elmer is a very gracious host, and his family all participates in preparing and serving the meals in the common eating area. The bungalow is very comfortable and the pool is very welcome in the heat of the day. Elmer helped arrange taxis for our family both to and from the bungalow as it is too far from Puerto Maldonado to walk. Elmer has a pub on the yard where you can purchase...

"A comfortable and modern hotel. Whilst the staff spoke limited english they were lovely. The plaza was in walking distance but there was also lots of dining options nearby. The breakfast was fantastic and a nice inclusion. "

"Hotel was nice! Close to the river, convenient place. The service was great. However, the room was not good. Although we asked for non- smoking the room smelled like cigarettes. Also, it seemed the room was recently u der constructions and there were some things out of place. Tv was not working at first and it was replaced."

"This property only has 4 rooms with air conditioning, need to request this prior to check in. There are no landline phones in the guest rooms nor any television to be found. Nice and relaxing, great pool, excellent food and wonderful drinks. Staff is superb polyglot to include English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Worth the stay and would return if my travels take me back to his city. "

"We arrived to La Habana Amazon Reserve (hotel) in Puerto Maldonado, Peru, only to be told that they no longer work with Hotels.com Our reservation was ignored and we had to go look for another hotel in a place that is completely new today us. Hotels.con has not refunded my credit card yet. Based on this experience, I don’t expect to use or recommend Hotels.com ever again unless you can promptly remedy this very concerning experience with your service. "

Elmer is a very gracious host, and his family all participates in preparing and serving the meals in the common eating area. The bungalow is very comfortable and the pool is very welcome in the heat of the day. Elmer helped arrange taxis for our family both to and from the bungalow as it is too far from Puerto Maldonado to walk. Elmer has a pub on the yard where you can purchase drinks and snacks, and he can help arrange tours to the local sites if you don't already have something planned with another company. Overall a fantastic find that our entire family enjoyed thoroughly."
