"I arrived early but was able to access my room straight away. I was initially told that my room still had to be paid for but I had prepaid. This was resolved quickly however. The hotel is conveniently located on a regular bus route and I took the opportunity to visit Blaenau Ffestiniog 20 minutes away. The evening meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. My room was fine and extremely comfortable. Some slight traffic noise as it was at the front of the property."

"I stopped at the Fairbourne on my drive up North. Actually a pretty great stay. My room was huge, recently renovated, big TV and nice bathroom. Very clean place, it was easy to park and the staff were very friendly. I would stay again."

"Generally a good experience, but with reservations. A hotel of character, much nicer than bland city tower blocks, but ready for overall refurbishment. Very un-green: no double glazing anywhere I saw. Room cleaning skimpy - glass shelf over sink always left unwiped, tea provisions not topped up adequately, bath not wiped round. Food excellent quality, well prepared. More choice of breakfast buffet items would be welcome. If you are solo and book in advance for dinner, be aware that you might...

"Great location. Greeted well and shown to the room. Place is relaxing and set in a great spot with loads of places to walk. Village is small but has enough places to eat and drink. Service levels at the hotel were great. "

"Having a specific room requirement the hotel give me options and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. With the Hotel room only refurbished in October 24, they were well finished and furnished. "Lovely guest house with a warm and welcoming host!… very much enjoyed my stay and everything was perfect. Cosy and comfortable clean room, with all the necessary facilities (plenty of tea/coffee/milk/sugar) to make many cups! Not like hotels in which you’re lucky to get 2.
