"The property is in a great location - in the centre of the town, opposite the train station and a five minute walk to the beach. Despite its centra location it is very quiet and also has lovely views from the back. There were 12 of us staying in the house, but there was plenty of room for all of us and the four kids absolutely loved the attic lounge/playroom. Communication with the owner was great and overall I couldn't fault it. I only wish we could have stayed for longer."

The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "We had a great time at this property. The five properties gave us space to be together and still have our own space to retreat to when needed. It was a very wet weekend in Wales but we made the most of it. "We had a fabulous week here in September, much helped by superb weather. Its impossible to review the cottage without mentioning the wonderful view across the river towards Cader Idris through the huge living room window. Our dog spent a lot of time gazing out of it at the sheep. The accommodation feels very spacious, you have all you need and bed was extremely comfortable. The garden is lovely on a sunny day, and Sally the host was very approachable and helpful. Also, the pizza place 300m away...
