"Very welcoming staff so that was a great first impression. Very well presented accommodation. Great shower. Plenty of beverages and having a sofa too in the evening was a bonus. Enjoyed some good food in the pub along with a very drinkable bottle of red. Great atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable. It is only self serve continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. But price we paid was ok for that. Bad points - road was noisy but ear plugs sorted that out. Also need an eye...

"Fantastic hotel in a very peaceful setting with great views of Ludlow castle and the gorgeous countryside. Had a beautiful room with views of the castle. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in the dining room with beautiful countryside views. Ludlow town is within easy reach on foot, crossing over the river before climbing the hill alongside the castle. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel."

"Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. "The Cowboy hut was very clean, cosy and looked like it was straight out of a western. The bed was very comfy and the wood burner made for a relaxing atmosphere. The big bath was lovely with a view of the hills from the tub. The site was quiet and very scenic with beautiful surroundings. We had a power cut due to storm Darragh which was sorted very quickly. The onsite shop was very useful with what we needed for the weekend. Would highly recommend for a relaxing, peaceful break. "
