"The property was very unique and in the historic district. The staff was excellent. The bed was uncomfortable, the refrigerator did not work, and we had to fix the shower head so we could shower. Breakfast was so-so. However, all in all it was a very unique and good experience."

"I was staying in Quito for a couple of night en route to Galapagos and found this little gem of a hotel. The hotel itself is an old colonial building which I understand dates from the early 1800s. It is clean, well maintained and the character of the property is amazing. The location is also very good for the historic centre of Quito and the Basilica which is a must to visit. The hotel staff could not do more for you during the stay, everyone was very helpful, friendly and caring. You feel...

"This hotel is in the historic district and extremely well located however, on the first night we were put in a rather small room, the window which was the only source of ventilation was in the corridor so anyone walking by could look in. The next day our room was changed to a much larger and more comfortable room but this one faced the busy road so we heard all the traffic going by until late at night. CNt beat the location however"
