"This is a delightful, quirky, welcoming place! The tea shop below is wonderful, the hosts were kind and helpful. My only issue was being on the 4th floor as I had a hard time with climbing the stairs, but that was a ME problem, not a THEM problem! The decor is wonderful!"

"Beautiful hotel. The staff was great to include the folks at the restaurant. Food delicious. Only drawback was that the hotel was not in the main part of Trujillo. Fortunately the can ride to the main part of Trujillo was a short one and the fare inexpensive. It was still a wonderful vacation and experience."

"This is a creepy little hotel in a creepy little town. Looks like it might be quaint in the pictures, but it is not. Went to the "front desk" to check in and no other guests seemed to be around. A group of loud men who looked like locals were drinking in the bar off to one side of the lobby. We were shown to a room in a building across the street from the main hotel building. The room had a dank musty smell and that was all we needed to decide to go into Trujillo 10 Km up the road to find...

"Alojamiento was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator. It is very centrally located in the Plaza where all the amazing restaurants and bars are at! The customer service was attentive and very good. They are not there all the time like in other hotels so planning the key exchange can be tricky. All in all is was a good stay. We mostly were there only to sleep and spent the rest of our time getting to know the beautiful and historical town of Trujillo!!"

"The owners Karla and Hermann were very helpful and friendly. They gave good suggestions for local food. Hermann came right out into the street to help me with parking. Room was excellent: big, comfortable, excellent shower and large bathroom, wonderful terrace overlooking the garden. Highly recommended. "

"We found Casa Babel to be an excellent location for our three night stay in Extremadura. We happened to be the only guests at the time, it being low season, so we had the entire place to ourselves. We were warm and comfortable in spite of the weather being quite cold and had everything we needed. We had a very pleasant four hours birdwatching and photographing with Jose although January isn't the best time of the year to see birds. Would highly recommend."
