"We have stayed at Don Carlos on several occasions. Staff are pleasant and helpful. It is clean and comfortable furnished in vintage Spanish style set in an unusual old building. Ideally located for exploring the old town. Car parking is good Cannot fault this lovely little hotel. Excellent value. "

"I stayed in the one bedroom apartment. It was awesome. Right by the hotel, and your little patio sits above the central plaza. The place had everything I needed, like laundry, dishes, big fridge, etc. The bedoom is a few stairs below the main living area and I slept great. It was away from any noise. It was pretty big too and felt like I could have stayed for a month. Staff were really nice. I didn't need room service but the chambermaid was really helpful and took my recycle and politely suffered me for Spanish tips. There is a Carrefour Express and other shops about one minute up the laneway too...everything is right there. 10/10."

"Stopped for one night en route to the Algarve. Very modern and clean hotel at a reasonable price. Our room (on 5th floor) was superb. Much appreciated the underground parking. Reception staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast excellent with wide choice and good value. Although out of town, easy to drive in to Caceres for an evening out. Only negative was lack of evening dining facilities. One expensive restaurant that doesn’t open until 8.30pm or bar snacks. But otherwise, extremely good."
