"Das Ryokan ist zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber gerade deswegen so charmant. Alle waren äußerst zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Es war ruhig und sauber. Das Frühstück so liebevoll serviert, ich habe es geliebt. Den Onsen im Haus habe ich nicht probiert. Die Lage der Unterkunft im älteren Teil Beppus ist super und sehr authentisch. Unbedingte Empfehlung für echtes Japan-Feeling. "

Breakfast offered dishes and products from the regional area with titles in English as well as other languages. Many other services were available such as spa, massages and public baths. Hotel was within walking distance to two malls, one that offered foot baths. So much to do with so little time. "

"Everything was poor. For Japanese standar I felt like staff was tired or not happy doing their job. Checking time was 4 P.M. while in other hotels was 3 P.M. I arrived at 3:10 and they did not let me in. A lady was going to give the key but a young man told her that was not the time for checking in. I saw other people registering before 4 and letting them in, so I felt disappointed. The room was very small."

"What a fantastic location, just a 5 minute walk from the Beppu train and transit station. Within walking distance of many great restaurants, a large grocery store, and local onsens. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and my room was perfect for me. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"Very big room, got dining table, sofa, our biggest room in Japan. But no reception, it’s a self check in. No luggage storage before check in. Close to station which is very nice. Our room got washing machine, and bathroom got air drying system, so clothes will dry quickly."
