"Mainly fine. Friendly check in. Don't like the fact that my card was debited £50 despite assurance it wouldn't be. I had already paid so why the debit on my card? Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation....

"Kirby lonsdale is a lovely quaint little village to visit, it has good walks, nice pubs/restaurants, hotels, cottages to stay in , shops with local produce, gift shops and l9cal to The Lakes and Yorkshire. "

"We were greeted on arrival by a very welcoming young lady who checked us in and showed us to our room. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Stayed to eat some lunch, service was friendly and efficient. After a wander round Lancaster, back to our room for showers and a change. Bathroom was clean, toiletries to hand and enough towels for the two of us. We had a quick drink before heading off for our evening meal, the bar was busy but didn’t have to wait very long. "I was not impressed being ‘ejected’ , as a resident at the hotel, at 11pm on a Saturday night. As a hotel resident, every where else I have stayed I could get a drink. On this occasion there were probably 15 hotel guests in the bar but we were all evicted. I will not be staying there again."

"This property is ideally placed to visit Grassington and walks around the area. It is clean, well appointed and first class en suite bathroom facilities. The down side is that there are a lot of rooms and a number of the occupants came into this venue later into the night. The doors are vintage as are the locks etc, so we found it a bit noisy and had a disturbed sleep. "

"Great stay for one night in the half term break. The guy who checked us in was great, saw my struggle with the vast amount of stairs (i have a dodgy knee) he moved us to a first floor room instead of second floor! Room was clean and tidy, seemed to be newly decorated with new furniture! Great view across the sea, and even though it was on the front the noise from traffic wasn't too bad. Just a few things that could do with a little look in to are the curtains, don't hang properly and let light...
