"This lovely place is conveniently placed for your time in Matamata. We took a Hobbiton tour, enjoyed a St. Patty's Guiness and coffees in town. Friendly manager ( thanks Andy) ensures you have essentials in your clean welcoming room. Love the windows for fresh air and blooming hydrangea in the yard. Retro vibes."

"Chose this appartment as close to Roaming Giant where we had a function. It was clean and adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable. There was tea and sugar provided but no long life milk. That would be my only negative. The key was just a flimsy plastic card - would have been better to have something more chunky as it got misplaced a few times.Overall a good stay."

I didn't partake, but was told the included breakfast was very good (apparently the chef is a pastry chef) the room was comfy, and the area was serene. If you stay here you have access to the natural hot pools 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 days and it was nicely convenient to a lot of places. (We went to Hobbiton and Waitomo glow worm caves). Matamata is convenient with other dining options, but the food at...
