"Decent quality 3 star hotel on negombo seafront. Nice garden facing the beach and great views of sunsets. Guests were a mixed crowd of locals and foreign tourists. Check in process was slow and inefficient. Staff seemed to struggle to process a group booking ahead of us and told us to wait. This took more than half hour. "I am just starting my Sri Lanka adventure and I cannot recommend enough Villa Kapuru. It is a small Villa run by SriLankan and Irish men who take in rescue dogs and cats so they can be treated with love and kindness. "A very average motel-like place a couple of blocks off the beach in Negombo. Room smell reminded me of 5th grade boys' rest room deodorizer. Did not strike me as a nice or interesting area. Would suffice for a base, but I suspect you can do better. "

"Overall it was a good value for money deal. I wish there was a fan in the room to avoid excessive use of AC. TV plan was expired during our whole stay. Walking distance to beach. A lot of food locations nearby. "

"An oasis off the main beach road that allowed me time to adjust after a late night arrival. Had full breakfast (additional charge) to start the day - well presented and ample. AC, hot water, tv and access to nearby restaurants and of course the beach. "

"We stayed here for 1 night, we arrived at 6 am and our room was booked for the night, but we were lucky and wer able to check in early and get some extra sleep after a long flight. The amenities were amazing, and the staff incredibly kind. Also breakfast was Very good!! I loved that The bed sheets smelled so clean - Everything was Super!"

Solo in Negombo 🇱🇰

"I am just starting my Sri Lanka adventure and I cannot recommend enough Villa Kapuru. It is a small Villa run by SriLankan and Irish men who take in rescue dogs and cats so they can be treated with love and kindness. "I really enjoyed how relaxed the Camelot Beach Hotel was. The staff were all very friendly, the room was comfortable and the restaurant had a nice buffet. Of course the beach was lovely, this was a great place to stay at the end of my trip to Sri Lanka - it was nice to have some relaxing walks on the beach prior to me long journey home :) I would definitely stay here again."
