"Lovely hotel perfectly situated in the ciry for easy access to trains, trams, buses and walking around the city. Fantastic breakfast, room perfectly acceptable for what we wanted it for, whuch was basically somewhere to sleep, beds really comfy. Would highly recommend and excellent value for money. Only downside water in the shower leaked under the shower door so bathroom floor got quite wet, but a towel mopped it up so not a deal breaker at all"

"The staff was fantastic. The facilities on the Karl Johan Hotel (33) side were great but the old part (35) were shabby. The bathroom had some mold and the jazz club downstairs kept me up at night. The room was very small, but worked. Breakfast was fantastic and bed+bedding was quite good. Overall it was a positive experience and considering the comparatively cheap price point for Norway and the most central location possible in the whole city, it was still a win! "
