"The hotel is big and could cater to big crowds without having the guests feeling overcrowding. The 3 onsens are spread over 3 different blocks of building but very walkable within indoor (hence no concern about rain or cold weather). Buffet breakfast was excellent with good spread of western and Japanese cuisine. Parking onsite is complimentary and the hotel is walkable to small town with eateries, shops and cafes. "I came to Gero on a recommendation from a close friend. I somehow missed it when I had done a previous Takayama trip and I am glad I came back. The town is very small and the hotel is easily walkable from the station, some people say 15 mins but it was more like 8-10 mins and that was while stopping to take pictures of the Hida river. Great location for the hotel, close to everything. The Onsen in this hotel alternate between male and female daily so you will have a chance to experience both...

No one answered. We were left in a precarious position in the evening with no place to stay. I cannot recommend this place to anyone and I have a very flexible, mind and travel mindset, we eventually stated a nearby hotel on the river, which seemed like something Expedia would end. "Clean and quiet place to stay with reasonable price. Kind concierge staff. Everything is excellent other than limited parking space in front of hotel. Paid - not expensive - parking spaces are available within 5 minutes by walk as alternative."

"If you see this review. Just book it if is within your budget. They take care of everything once you stepped into Gero station. Jus hopped into any Taxi waiting at the station and your retreat begins. We stepped into the inn and didnt think of going any where until our check out time. "
