"This was a very memorable place that I visited. It is in the rural area of japan, you can really feel the realness of the area. It's in gifu however it's definitely not a tourist trap area. The owners of the establishment reminded me of my grandmother. You are not getting a hotle with this stay more of a B&B, it definitely felt like I a was sleeping over a japanese grandma's house. "This would be the best choice if you are looking for an authentic traditional Japanese accommodation. The hotel is very clean and our room comes with a balcony overlooking the Hida River. The view is absolutely gorgeous. We particularly appreciate the staff's attentiveness. A very sweet male staff even offered to drive us to the JR station so that we don't have to carry our suitcases in the rain. The hot spring in the basement is nothing too fancy.
