"Friendly helpfull staff. Comfortable & clean in need of a bit of TLC . Shower looked good but didn't use it... my fault as I was put off by large window in bathroom which had a net curtain, I didn't notice till too late the blind! Very good location for town, cathedral/gardens & Apex. Got car in their car park which is small not sure where you would park if no spaces. "

Like many places it could do with a spruce up but the quality of service and wonderful environment make up for any minor blemishes. Food was amazing. "The room was clean and comfortable. The food was great. The staff friendly. It’s right in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, close to the cathedral. Abbey grounds, shopping and lots of restaurants."

"It was a nice stay. I had a long term stay that was over 30 days. I had the double room, and i felt like it was cramped due to the ceilings. I had to constantly be stooping over or craining my neck in the room. I wouldn't rebook this room for a stay longer than a week. The owner was great and very nice."
