"We started and ended a 5 week vacation at Hotel Lugano. The location is excellent because its an easy and inexpensive bus ride from the airport to Plaza Espan̈a, then a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Its between the airport and La Sagrada, an easy train ride from the Plaza. There's a pedestrian road a block away where people walk, chat with friends and have a gelato. The staff look and behave professionally. Be sure to get your complementary glass of chanpagne or wine!! The rooms are super clean...

The only negative is that I wish the room came with a queen bed instead of two twins, but the hotel was very up front about the possibility of this happening. My wife and I just moved the beds together. One of the best value for money places I have been to in a long time."

"The property was gorgeous, beautiful location and access to everything. However, the only problem I had was the smell of the room was so intense. I don't know if it was the new renovation, or something else, but it was hard to breathe in that room. I had to spend a lot of time on the Terrace because the smell of the room was so intense. It would have been absolutely perfect if it weren't for the smell."

Rooms are a little tired and basic but very clean and comfortable more than adequate for a weekend or short stay. Communal fridge to store drinks etc in the hallway was also a great touch."
