"We received a very warm welcome at the hotel and the reception staff were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel as somewhere to stay if you visit Pokhara. Of course, its position overlooking the Annapurna range gives it an enviable advantage, but we only stayed for one night when it was mostly cloudy although we did enjoy some glimpses of the mountains. Despite not really seeing the mountains, we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel. "

"A small piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere - gorgeous views, calm and very relaxing. The room was big, comfortable and with massive windows facing Nilgiri. It might have been expensive, but it was worth it after a week trekking the Annapurna circuit. The food was great too!"

Only downside (as with all properties along the lake) is that there is a fair amount of noise from singing, people, funfair etc that may delay your sleep. View from deluxe room was spectacular with mountain view from one side and city view from other. The highlight of my Annapurna Base Camp trek, nine days of exertion and awe, was this morning. Waking up at 4am to ascend the final hours between Machhapuchchhre and Annapurna base camps. So early in the season and after being separated from my hiking companions the day before I was alone. But not lonely. It was a quiet morning of reflection, catching my breath in the headlamp, before the sun broke from behind the mountains. And as the horizon transitioned from muted pinks and purples to brilliant blue, the energy of new day, the snow-capped peaks ahead felt like electricity. I danced up the mountain, my elation expressed in hurried step and shallow yawns. The Himalayas surrounded and I was filled with an immensity of oneness.
