"Very clean and comfortable, spacious rooms, lovely bathroom, good breakfast. Pool is quite shallow so not great for swimming but good for cooling off. Decor was a bit grey. "

"My mom and I absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were well decorated and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing from all areas. The staff was the highlight; so kind, so helpful, and so patient with our many questions as it was our first time there. 2 beautiful beaches at walking distance along with the fortress being just a 10 minute walk away. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking, it was worth every penny. "

"Only here for 4 days, served its purpose. Had a swim up room facing the pool. Which was a god send as the pool area is very busy as you’d expect during school holiday. Food is nice albeit a bit repetitive, were none drinkers, no alcohol free option for beer. All staff friendly, rooms clean a spacious "

"Very poor quality food, limited choices, poor housekeeping, in our 10 day stay, our sheets were changed once, the room was not cleaned at all. The pool dirty/cloudy and constantly full of bugs, and was generally in bad condition with broken lights, tiles (with sharp edges) and plagued with ants. Drinks were the usually cheap all inclusive type, and frequently some types were out of stock. Staff were generally friendly and pleasant though. Would not stay again."

Staff on reception during check-in were not very friendly and charged me for the room, even though I had paid by using my saved vouchers. This was rectified later in the day by the manager. There was no secure place to leave luggage and we were told that we could just put our bags outside the gym. Not ideal and didn't want to leave our belongings in such a public area. "Such a lovely, family run hotel. So much more personal and quiet compared to the bigger, 4 & 5 star hotels. We were really glad we picked the Caravel. Huge room (apartment), great food and pool and just over the road from the sea. The owners were incredibly friendly, sorted out some last minute euros for us and booked probably the best taxi service we’ve ever had! All the good reviews were spot on. "

"Great location close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Rooms and bathrooms were dated and basic but good for the price. Biggest downside were the dozens of mosquitoes in the room. "

"The property has 2 buildings, one closer to the village centre and another one with direct access to the beach. We were lucky to be by the Gaia beach just opposite ours, which has a nicer swimming pool and a bar/restaurant, which is very good and part of the hotel management. The main restaurant is in the building close to the village centre and they do offer a very brief transfer between the two with an electric car at breakfast and dinner time. "Good hotel and pool, beach across the road. If you wish to get a sunbed at the beach, go early, as there aren’t many beds. Friday food is the best of the week. Cocktails after 6pm are really good. On the downside, the hotel is a bit dated, but it is reflected in the price. No ac in the public rooms."

"Good location if wanting to explore the island, room was fairly modern, 24 hour check in, Sunday BBQ was excellent and cooked by the owner! Family-run hotel, good priced for package deal, really easy transport links to get to other areas, free parking outside the hotel, newly renovated pool! Cleaners change towels everyday and the hotel also provides beach towels daily. All inclusive drinks weren’t great and breakfast could have done with some more fruit like watermelon and peaches! Didn’t dine there other than the Sunday BBQ. Run by husband and wife, who initially seemed a little grumpy but after a while perked up, they don’t sleep much and are committed to the family run business, so understandably tired! Overal, perfect for what we needed, didn’t spend much time at the hotel as used it as a base to explore the island. "
