"Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Have stayed in Praia da Rocha several times before but never at Flor da Rocha. Only disadvantages, staying in late March the balcony always seemed to be in the shade. At no point, even on the sunny warmer days was it ever a sun trap. Think this is due to the other buildings close by and the shape of the building itself. Other disadvantage, which isn't the apartments fault are some of the other guests. Sound proofing between apartments isn't great...

The hostess was very friendly when we first arrived, but we never saw her again, resulting in minimal interaction with staff to ask questions about the area, etc. Location was great... it truly is in the old town, a 10 minute walk to the marina, but you will need a taxi to the train station1"
