"Nagataki was better than a hotel stay. We stayed for one night before walking the Nakasendo. We had our own little Japanese cottage set in a lovely garden. Meals were served in our cottage and were simply amazing. The food presentation was a work of art and absolutely delicious and inventive. The onsen was beautiful and had a gorgeous view out to the garden. The staff were so lovely even though not a great deal of English was spoken. We were picked up and dropped off at Nakatsagawa station....

"Lovely views from the public baths (separate for men and women) to the lake. The decor was dated but the room was comfortable and the food was good. A beautifully presented Japanese dinner and a choice of Japanese vs. western style breakfasts. "

"The walls are paper-thin, you can hear neighbor's TV. There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. The communal toilet slippers were disgustingly dirty, and no other slippers inside the hotel were provided (you walk on very old carpets and floors in the hotel hallways barefooted). "大人２人小学校(低学年)１人の利用でしたが、子供料金は４才までに限るとのことで通常通り大人３人で支払いをしました。が、何故か子供の食事だけ品数を減らされて提供されました。子供料金が何歳まで適応されるのかをホテルズドットコム伝いに確認したことはありますが、そのような希望は一切しておりませんでした。 スタッフさんの接客や旅館での滞在はとても快適で良かったです。"
