"This is a rather new hotel. The rooms are spacious and it has a swimming pool that is in the shade in the afternoon which is a plus if you burn easily. We were lucky that we were the only guests except for the last night. The staff was extremely friendly and made sure we were safe and well taken care of. "This property was wonderful so why only 4 stars? Although I think it should be 5 stars, one consistent item knocked it down a notch. For this calibre of hotel, daily room make up service is a must. The fact that I was asked each day if I wanted this, to which my response was yes, and then to return to the untouched room at the end of the afternoon isn’t 5 star service. "This hotel is a bit run down, it feels pretty basic and needs renovations (very poor flooring). Location is not great, both for distance to the real point of interest, which is Galle's fort, and for being in front of a busy road which is very noisy although at night we slept well (ie no or little traffic at night). It can also be difficult to find taxis at that location unless you use tuk tuks which seem to have a bizarre monopoly in the area. Staff was very helpful though. "

"This a nice property with staff that tries very hard. Pros- we started with a really nice welcome drink and our room had an awesome view (very small deck) and a very comfy bed with nice pillows.
