"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"Gorgeously situated in a beautiful ex-colonial mansion, serving excellent food. Staff are efficient and friendly. The regular rooms are evocative and very comfortable, with choice of fan and air conditioning. The lack of a television is more than compensated for by the eclectic collection of books in rooms, and communal areas. I was lucky to stay in the Galleon Suite, which is the size of an apartment, with a shower and outdoor bath! An evening dip in the pool, followed by drinks at the bar was...

"Fort Bliss was a wonderful establishment: centrally located, clean, comfortable and very well furnished. Breakfast was among the best I’ve had in SL. And Sunnil was just lovely."

"The place on the whole was very nice, the room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was OK, but had signs of wear and tear eg chipped tiles. This didn't bother us, but some people may be put off by this. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with lots of choices. "This property was centrally located to access the wonders of Galle Fort, but set in a quiet lane away from the main foot traffic. The Courtyard and entry to the property burst with colour and wonderful scents. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast options were the best we came across in Sri Lanka. The rooms were clean but moderate in size with limited space for large luggage."
