"Beautiful and charming old home with large rooms and nice decor. Clean and well kept. Breakfast was tasty with several interesting choices and a side of fresh fruit. Perfectly located to enjoy and explore Staunton's fun downtown. "

"We were greeted wonderfully by the manager. He was very helpful with places to go for lunch in the area & how to get there. The most pleasant ever encountered at a hotel. The rooms were great! Very clean & comfortable. Only problem experienced was the guests above us knocking around & playing their tv loud well after 10 p.m."

"What a great hotel ! The owners have converted an old warehouse into a wonderful hotel. It’s small, I believe it’s only six rooms. Our suite was beautiful and everything was modern. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything one would want, even though we did no cooking. Antique stores and shops are just two blocks away. "The caretakers of The Birdhouse have thought of everything to make sure you are comfortable. Highly recommend. Only downside was tv did not work. Since we werent watching it anyway, it did not inconvenience us."
