"This was a great place for an extended family get together. Some hiked, some fished. All had a blast! We hear and/or saw turkeys, owls and deer. And caught bass and bluegill in the pond! Only minor wrinkle was the stink bugs and lady bugs around the windows - not a surprise for a cabin in the woods in the spring. As long as you have one or two people in your group that are willing to scoop them up and send them outside, then not a big deal!"

"Nice little getaway not too far from everything. It was nice to unplug and relax for a few days. Dry river is VERY close would be awesome in late spring early summer if you want a "basecamp" to fish for Brook Trout. A couple really nice deep fishing holes a short walk from the cabin. Had a blast and would definitely stay again."

"We found this property when looking for a place to spend Christmas close to family. The pictures are beautiful but don't come close to doing the property justice in person! The house was well stocked with cookware/utensils and was perfect for us to host our family holiday dinner. The property owner was wonderful and answered my multiple questions about what was on hand prior to our arrival, and even went the extra mile of putting up a Christmas tree and decorations for us - what a nice...

"The cabin was cozy and nicely equipped for 2 people. The hot tub was in excellent condition and had an outdoor TV. The cabin was within a mile outside the town of Monterey. We enjoyed the Maple Festival. Would definitely stay there again!"

The screened in deck was the prime spot to hang out even with the summer heat. I brought my dog and he loved the different trails and swimming in the river."
