"Our first experience wasn't great because we discovered the Queens Head wasn't tended full time and we had to call an emergency number. However,we discovered that the sister hotel, the Castle had a room and in the circumstances they paid for a taxi to collect our luggage so all was well in the end. The Castle was very cosy and the staff were very helpful and polite"

"The quintessential B&B experience. From the checking in process to breakfast in the morning it was made to feel like we were a guest in a home, not a business. We loved every minute of it. Location is perfect for the Castle, beach and local businesses. Bed was very comfortable as was the downstairs living area. We didn’t want for anything. "East House is a lovely old property. We had a large room with a great view across farm fields (there were cows!), and the sea, you could also see Dunstanburgh castle in the distance. The host was really welcoming and friendly. Despite what it says in the description the beds are fully made up and there is a good supply of towels in the bathroom so you don’t need to bring sheets etc. nice touches in the room included a kettle, coffee, fresh milk, cereals, biscuits, shampoo, hair conditioner,...
