"Location was the best thing - close enough to walk to the city centre (though buses were also very near). We were roomed in an annex which was fine, just a short walk from the main building. Room itself was a good size, ensuite with a bath. Heating was a bit hit and miss - radiators were either red hot or off. It is a beautiful hotel and the service is exceptional, we have stayed in 5 star hotels that don’t offer the service and friendliness this hotel offered . They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay . We were unable to make breakfast in the morning due to an early start but they immediately offered bacon sandwiches for us .
