"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

"Although we enjoyed staying at the hotel it is important to realise that there is no on site parking, it seems there is normally street parking 50 metres up the road, not sure how it easy it would be to park "in season". Also you need to be aware that the rooms are up a steep flight of stairs, totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed...

"Staying at Gleann an Ronnaich proved one of then highlights of my extended time in Scotland. The extra special touches made such a difference - a face-washer and shaving cream in the bathroom, very comfortable room & lounge area topped off by exquisitely crafted and cooked hot breakfast. Nothing seemed too much for the hosts, and close to town (Portree) too. Highly recommended!"
