"I was met by Kay in the Dining rolm which had a log fire burning. She was incredibly welcoming and made you feel relaxed. Nothing was too much yrouble and the room was first class. All other public rooms and kitchen were excellent. A very quiet and relaxing place to stay. Than you"

"My favourite accommodation in Scotland. Tomintoul is a great spot to stay and Argle guesthouse is welcoming and comfortable. Great rooms, comfy beds and a delicious breakfast. "

"Only stayed for three nights, but thought it was a lovely place. The room decor is very modern/contemporary, which is what I like. Bed and bedding was comfortable, but was only a small double bed, presumably because the room was quite small. We will stay again , but will book a bigger room next time."

"This is a Beautiful old 120 year old hotel with all of its charm and its great that its running Most get gutted out and turned into super expensive and exclusive rooms without any thought to the community Theres not many treasures like this left these days I bet the locals are so glad of that too Its a lovely friendly place with very friendly staff and excellent meals I wish you all the best 👍"

"Had a lovely two night stay. The corner bath was a deciding factor when deciding where to stay. We found the place to be clean and although we didn’t see staff we also didn’t have a need to see them. The key lock was easy to use to collect the key and return it. They were aware of my wife’s dietary needs as we had enquired about places to eat. When we arrived along with the usual tea/coffee biscuit were some harribo which felt like they cared enough to look into alternatives for gluten free....

"A poor start when they failed to answer any of my emails, but my call was answered. The lodges, especially on the outside, were tired and a bit tatty, but everything was clean and functional. Beds were good and pillows were great. Very well equipped for self-catering and everything we needed for a family of four. The only irritation was that they allow pets and there was evidence of animal hair on decorative bed throws and cusions, but not enough to bother us. Parking was right beside lodge and...

"We got delayed in getting to Aviemore before the check in time. The owner was very gracious and set up our room and gave us the code to the door. Breakfast was good but it’s not self service for the fruit, yogurt and juices. You’ll need to find a staff person to get it for you. The location was great for walking and lots of food choices nearby. "

"We had an enjoyable stay at the property, there were a few little issues but nothing to put us off coming back. The cold water tap in the bath didn’t work so had to use cold water from the sink to put in a bath, the rubber edging round the oven door had come off and was loose in the oven, some of the equipment /trays for the oven also weren’t the right size to be able to cook on. The property is slightly dated and could do with a little bit of TLC. Overall though and enjoyable stay "

"The hotel is located within some outstanding scenery with Loch Alvie literally on your doorstep. We were all made to feel welcome, including Dizzy the dog , and the chefs produced some delicious food as we sat near a blazing log fire. Room and bathroom were very clean and well appointed. The only grumble we would have is that we were charged for our dog's stay on a nightly basis, to cover additional cleaning, as opposed to per visit, you would only clean the room once even after 2 nights stay."
