"The overall trip was excellent. Being so close to the park and restaurants was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The temple spa toiletries were a lovely touch. Breakfast was delicious. "I read previous reviews of this property and believe that they are, at least inaccurate but many were completely misleading. Our stay was comfortable, staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout. The Buffet Breakfast was of a good standard and the young lady serving it was also polite and helpful. "Two nights stop over, needing some place cheap. One of the cheapest rooms in Sheffield for a weekend so you get a small bed in a small room. Room was warm and clean although a bit dated. Shower is directly off the room, no separate changing area. Air con/heater was a bit noisy even when turned off. But for the price, saved over a hundred pounds compared to other budget chains, no real complaints. "

"Just awful 😞 a large empty car park except for one car and a smashed glass bar door covered up with a piece of plywood greeted you when you drove in. It spoke volumes really. We checked in which was pleasant enough by a helpful young man, and checked out again 5 minutes later. Not a good sign when the cleaning team were still cleaning the bedrooms at 4.30pm. But the main thing was the overwhelming smell of the corridors and the rooms was enough to make your eyes water and you could still smell...

"I like this hotel for its convenience to the university of Sheffield and to down town. It is an older hotel, so also has lots of character which I also like. The only downside I would say is the cost of parking. These costs should clearly be included on the booking website as it is an unwelcome surprise when you book a place and find that you have a much higher bill than anticipated."
