"Good quality hotel in an excellent location for Oslo city centre and all that is on offer. It was a little strange that the check-in desk is also the bar! Further, there were times when the staff were busy elsewhere meaning both check-in and bar were unattended which was not completely satisfactory. However, all the staff were excellent and helpful. The hotel itself has character and the rooms and communal areas were clean & tidy. Breakfast was good with a varied choice of hot and cold food....

"The room was very small indeed, for a short stay and traveling with rucksacks only you could manage. The breakfast was quite impressive, I would enjoy having more pastries though , especially some local ones, there were only small croissants which were very tasty but as I said I would be happy with some Norwegian pastries. "A very good stay at the Thon Hotel Slottsparken. The main reason for selecting the hotel was the availability to accommodate 3 adults (adult daughter still loves free holidays!) and the 'Business' room option worked our perfectly with plenty of room for us all. Location wise it was very close to the palace in a nice quiet area whilst also being less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of Oslo and the Nationaltheatret train station which has a direct link to the airport. "We highly enjoyed our stay, the bed was huge and super comfortable. Though the room itself was kinda small, dark and claustrophobic. The only window was in the corner and overlooked an inside atrium, so no natural light got into the room. Also the dark paint color on the walls made the room feel smaller than it was. The bathroom had good counter space, the shower was a bit small as it was 2 fold out doors, which didn't stop the water from getting outside and onto the rest of the floor. TV...
