"No a/c or heater in the room. Good security. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms ending in 8 are directly over the gym and ate are quite noisy if the window is opened ."

"Lovely old building renovated very nicely - it has a lovely atmosphere and some beautiful views from the upstairs mirador. The room was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Would definitely stay again. "

"Had free airport transfer which was nice after a long flight. The driver was waiting for us holding a sign with our name on it. He waited for us even though our plane was a little late landing. The grounds around the hotel were beautiful. The free breakfast was nice. The only negatives were there’s no food available after 10 pm and there’s no air conditioning but apparently that’s normal in Quito. "

"This hotel is in the historic district and extremely well located however, on the first night we were put in a rather small room, the window which was the only source of ventilation was in the corridor so anyone walking by could look in. The next day our room was changed to a much larger and more comfortable room but this one faced the busy road so we heard all the traffic going by until late at night. CNt beat the location however"

"We stayed at this hotel for one week and had an excellent experience. Hotel is cozy, quiet, very clean and all the staff just amazing, kind hearted, always supporting and making you feel like home. No words can express this experience, I highly recommend to anyone. Exceeds by far any 5* hotel just because of people there. I take this opportunity to all the staff we met at Casona 1914."
