"Great location, close to York, but not in York. There is a bus stop located near to the hotel which goes in York or the coast. The breakfast was lovely either a cooked breakfast or cereal and fruit, yoghurt or toast. "

"Friendly staff. Nice modern room although smelt of damp. Hallway to rooms was very dark so not very pleasant. It didn’t have the hotel feel I normally get when I visit other hotel chains, it didn’t have an instant welcoming feel. "

"Greta location, 10-15 mins walk into the city centre. Very warm welcome from the chap at the hotel. Couldn’t do enough for us. Room was spotless, tea and coffee facilities. Hotels.com advertise a free breakfast but they don’t do this anymore. Not an issue for us but could probably be updated. Slight noise from other rooms and the street but the hotel provide earplugs and the windows have an extra screen to try and keep noise out.
